Alathiyur Nambi was a renowned doyen of Ayurveda, hailing from one of the Ashtavaidya families of North Kerala. Situated in Alathiyur, Malappuram district, his family upheld rare traditions in Ayurvedic treatment procedures. Ashtavaidyan Alathiyur Narayanan Nambi, the eldest member of the family, held esteemed positions in various Ayurvedic institutions and extensively promoted Ayurveda worldwide. Until his passing on October 21, 2015, he served as the motivator and chief doctor of Tharavad Ayurveda Retreat. At Tharavad, we continue to adhere to the treatment methodologies he imparted, striving to propagate Ayurveda in alignment with his vision. endeavour is to propagate Ayurveda in the same manner that he wished.

Dr. Nirmala John completed her studies from Shornur Ayurveda College in the year 1979 with high academic credentials. She was a student of late Vaidhyalinga Iyyer who was a legend of ayurveda. Dr. Nirmala has more than 35 years of experience to her credit.

Dr. Binu Paul completed his BAMS Degree from Parassinikadav Ayurveda Medical College, Kerala in the year 2008, and Teachers Training course in yoga from Sivanandha Training Institute. He does intensive researches in various fields of ayurveda especially in Parkinson’s and ayurvedic panchakarma. He’s trained in ayurvedic methods of Knee Problem Management.

Dr. Priyanka Jose completed her BAMS Degree from Alvas Ayurveda Medical College Moodbidri, Karnataka in the year 2010 and certificate course in Ayurvedic Psychiatry from Kottakkal Ayurveda College. Dr. Priyanka has trained at some of the best ayurveda institutions of Kerala. She is doing research in Parkinsons Disease Management and Life Style Disease Management.

Dr. Binu Paul and Dr. Priyanka Jose have had the glorious opportunity of being disciples of the great legend late Shri Ashtavaidhyan Alathiyoor Narayan Nambi in his last years of his practice.
